Hmm in light of the news going around that there's a writing AI scraping AO3 for training material and also the fact that I got a weird spam message today from an unregistered user, I'm changing my fic settings to be visible only to logged in AO3 users. To create an AO3 account if you don't have one yet, I believe you can submit your email here for an invite.

I'll be cross-posting the chapters here on Tumblr as well instead of just linking to it on ao3. It'll be nice to have the text in two places for easy access! I'll be going back to edit my old fic posts later today.

my general stance on a lot of accessibility and ig a lot of other rpc stuff too is like... 

what u do on ur personal and indie and 1x1 and inspo accounts is ur choice and ur business like if u wanna maintain a highly inaccessible aesthetic and alienate dozens and dozens of people in the process that’s ur choice, fuck u just a little bit, but do u. other indies/inspo/personal blogs dont HAVE to interact and can ignore, mute or block n it doesn’t rly mean that much. it’s inconsiderate as hell but like whatever. at the end of the day eh

but if ur making the commitment to be part of a group or network or sub-community and ur agreeing to adhere to the rules of that group and be respectful towards other members then part of that means keeping ur shit accessible to ANYONE AND EVERYONE who is or could be in that group. ur personal aesthetics need to be left at the door and in favour of creating and maintaining an environment with written elements that are less focused on “looking cool” than they are on actually being read and understood. 

so if u run a group that allows tiny fonts on the dash or on themes, tiny container themes, double+ spacing in text, all lowercase in para threads, shit like that...... or u join a group that maybe doesn’t directly specify NOT to do that shit so u go ahead and do it anyway bc The Aesthetic Is Great or whatever.... a BIG fuck u to u!!!

like i get that it’s “just [tumblr] rp” and whatever but a group or community or server or whatever should be a welcoming and accessible place for all who fit the application criteria, n not joining should ideally be about personal taste and interest in a plot or genre or setting or whatever, not determined bc some assholes already in the group insist on continuing to post in over-complicated and inaccessible formatting. wtf
